Bereavement Ministry

The Bereavement group meets weekly on Thursday in the Parish Hall at 7:00 pm to 8:30 p.m.; the meeting is open to all.
The Group began in December, 2015 as a means to provide support to people who have suffered the loss of a loved one.
Our group is comprised entirely of lay people - we are not mental health professionals nor are we certified counselors.  However, we do have a referral list of qualified individuals for anyone who might desire professional help. The group is hosted by the St. Philip's Committee Outreach Division - we charge no fees and request no donations.
Our group is open to people of all religious affiliations and no religions affiliation.  Our sole purpose is to provide support for each other in the day to day living with loss.  As such, religion is left out of discussions and there is no clergy present at our meeting.  We provide a comfortable, friendly atmosphere where EVERYONE who is grieving is welcome and supported.
