Pillows for Paws

St. Philip's Animal Ministry Begins New Collaboration with "Pillows for Paws" to benefit shelter animals.

“If you want to learn, then go and ask the wild animals and the birds, the flowers and the fish. Any of them can tell you what the LORD has done. Every living creature is in the hands of God” (Job 12:7-10, CEV).

April 14 - 2:00 to 6:00 pm
Parish Hall

St. Philip's Animal Ministry ministers to companion animals and their owners, with an emphasis on pets in shelters and owned by at-risk, low income seniors.

This Spring, the ministry is collecting the raw materials needed to make "pillows for paws." That is, items needed to put together cage liners, toys and treats that by pets in shelters can use for comfort and play.

The Ministry is asking for donations of gently used fleece blankets, quilts, pillowcases, sheets, and quilt batting to be used to make cage liners; cardboard rolls from toliet and paper towels (save them!) to make toys for rabbits, and socks to  make toys for cats and dogs. Other items are also needed. Donation bins are set up in the parish conference room. Canned and boxed pet food and treats (no open containers or expired foods, please) will also be accepted for distribution to the shelters through Pillows for Paws.

Saturday, April 14 is the DAY! to bring this all together with a Pillows for Paws craft day extravaganza!! Bring a friend and help our furry friends be comfortable and secure as they await their FUR-ever home.

Pillows for Paws is a 501-c-3 not-for-profit. For more information on the organization and other ways to help, please click here.
